As a project administrator, I want to protect specific schedule items so Project Managers and project team members cannot rename them, change their type, or remove them from the project plan. This would help us keep mandatory governance tasks, milestones, and deliverables in place across all projects, especially where we need to enforce standard approval gates, compliance checkpoints, or delivery stages. Ideally, authorised administrators should be able to define which items are protected, while project teams can still update operational fields such as dates, status, and assignments.
